Define the Relationship
Section 6
Welcome to the final section of this course. In this section we will wrap up what we have learned, which brings us to a point of decision. When we discover how we view God, then we are able to see ourselves in relation to God. And when we know how we view God and our relation to him, then we make choices for our lives based on that relationship. We have defined the relationship and we are living according to it.
In this final section, we encourage you to choose how you will see God and your relationship with him. Are you ready to formally define the relationship?
Reflection Questions
Having heard this powerful story told by Jesus, how would you describe your readiness to define your relationship with God?
I am ready to define my relationship with God right now.
I need more time to make a decision.
I have more questions that I need answered before I can make a decision.
I am just not yet ready and I don’t know when I will be ready.
If you are ready now to define your relationship with God, describe how you see God, yourself, and your new relationship with him.
Take some time to talk to God, and ask you pray, tell him your decision and the commitment you are ready to make to him. Or, tell him about your questions and concerns, and ask him to help you with those concerns.
God does not want you to follow him all on your own. The church is his gift of a community of Jesus-followers who help each other in their relationship with God.
