Jason Matters
Lead Pastor
Jason enjoys teaching and encouraging others to develop their full potential by pursuing God alongside them. He accepted a call to serve at RCN in July 2016. Prior to that, he served a church in Kansas City for 13 years. He graduated with a Master of Divinity from Nazarene Theological Seminary in 2003.
Jason and Erica have two children, Olivia and Easton. In their spare time, you might find them coaching and playing Little League baseball and softball, hunting or camping in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, or relaxing with a good book in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other.

Amber has been part of the Ridgefield Nazarene family since she was just 6 years old. She has a heart for Jesus, is a natural leader and loves to serve being the hands and feet of Jesus. Amber officially joined the team as the youth ministries director in 2019. She’s currently the fearless leader of leaders that invests in the students and young adults in our church. She gets so much joy in walking along side students and their families as they navigate each season. She loves deeply and wants everyone to know the Love of Christ and that they belong.
Amber has been married to her husband Jason for 22 years. Jason, also volunteers as a youth leader and tirelessly works to support his family. Amber home schools their 4 kids Noah, Esther, Gideon and Simon who are active in sports and their church community. Amber is up for any task that challenges her. She loves being a mama to her kids, homesteading, gardening, fishing, hunting and thrives on adventures. Some of her favorite things are coffee, the beach, sunsets and sitting fireside with her people!

Amber Langeliers
Youth Ministries Director
Grant Peltzer
Senior Adults Pastor
Grant enjoys building relationships with Senior Adults and is passionate about encouraging Senior Adults to finish their race strong! Grant began his role as Senior Adults Pastor in October 2019. Prior to that, Grant was the RCN Office Administrator. Grant also is the church treasurer and building manager. Grant graduated from NNU with a degree in a Administration in 2010 and was ordained in the Church of the Nazarene in April of 2019.
Grant and Renee' have two children, Jordyn and Brendan, and one daughter-in-law, Nikki. Grant enjoys spending time with Renee', as well as playing golf and watching a multitude of sports, and hiking.

Javier Michel
Hispanic Ministries Director
Javier was born in Mexico and moved to suburban Chicago at age 9. He graduated from high school there and then returned to Mexico. He obtained a degree in Chemical Engineering in 1988 and then finished a two-year Bible college program. He married Mary Rose in 1990 and together they served full-time in a church with 6,000 attenders in Puebla, Mexico. There, they led a young adults ministry, coordinated events with attendance in the thousands, and taught at the Bible school and the Christian K-12 school. They even had the opportunity to be missionaries in Japan for six months. He has particularly enjoyed bein an English-Spanish interpreter since age 20. The family, including their now married children Stephanie and Erik, moved back to suburban Chicago in 2010 where they served in the Hispanic ministries of two large multi-campus churches. They joined the ministry team at RCN in June 2023 and are delighted leading the Hispanic ministry and supporting RCN's other thriving.
Javier enjoys reading and learning languages (he studied French in high school and German in college) and thrives on technology and software (especially databases!). He loves to kick back and stay fit through swimming and resistance exercise at home and at the gym (a wonderful place to share the message of Jesus Christ!)

Tanner Hill
Worship and Creative Arts Pastor
Tanner is a worshipper and disciple of Christ Jesus, and loves to lead God’s people in praise through corporate worship. He encourages the Church to “let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts” (Colossians 3:16 NIV). He loves doing ministry in-person and also through social media. He began at RidgeNaz in 2025, and graduated from Northwest Nazarene University with a ministry degree in 2024.
Tanner and Caroline love spending time with their little daughter Lucy and reading a variety of books. In Tanner’s spare time, you will find him playing disc-golf or playing whatever instrument he can get his hands on.

Jessica Martinez
Office Manager
Jessica joined our team as the office manager in February 2024. A long-time member of Ridgefield Church of the Nazarene, since 1998, Jessica has deep roots in our community. She and her husband Tony have been married since 2005 and are proud parents to their son, Tahari. On Sundays, Jessica can be found serving in the AV room. Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family, baking, kayaking, and camping.

Courtney has been coming to the Ridgefield Church of the Nazarene since 2007 to attend Youth Group. That is where she met her husband, Jorden. She has a passion and heart for our younger kids and helping them learn about Jesus and helping other families get connected, which has led her to the RidgeKids Jr ministry.
She and her husband, Jorden have 2 young kids, Savannah and Everett. Some things she loves are being a wife and mom, being outside, traveling with my family, and all things coffee and chocolate. In her spare time, you will find her trying to keep her garden alive and well, and finding new projects to do.

Billy Buisman
Downtown Campus Pastor
Billy loves helping others grow in and live out their relationship with Jesus! He graduated from NNU and has served in full-time ministry for the past 20+ years. He accepted the call to come be the downtown campus lead pastor in October, 2024 and is excited for what God is going to do in this community through our church family. He loves preaching, but also connecting with people 1 on 1 so feel free to connect with him.
Billy has a wonderful wife, Sabera, and 2 young boys, Alex and Logan, who fill his life with joy. He likes spending time with his family, being in nature through hiking, skiing, hunting, etc., as well as reading and having his reading interrupted by his boys.
