Senior Adult Ministries

Our senior adults stay active and engaged in their faith and in the life of our church. In addition to a weekly Bible study, our PrimeTimers also plan monthly outings and enjoy building relationships with each other. PrimeTimers are also involved in many ministries, including visits to hospitals, nursing homes, and shut-ins.

Wednesday Bible Study & Potluck
You are invited to join us at noon every Wednesday, in the Café, for a potluck lunch followed by Bible study. Feel free to bring a dish to share. Every week features a variety of salads, soups, vegetable dishes, and desserts. Our Bible study follows the Nazarene quarterly Adult Sunday School lessons.

Monthly Social Events
Our senior adults like to stay active. Every month we plan trips to various places of interest in the Portland/Vancouver area. Recent outings have included visits to the Evergreen Air Museum, the Japanese Garden, Maryhill Museum, and more. A sightseeing river cruise aboard the Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler is a favorite annual event of many of our members. These events are always open for anyone to participate. Many of them do require pre-registration and minimal admission fee.

Spring Mission Trip
Every spring we take a group of senior adults to Abbottsford, British Columbia to serve alongside the Fraser Valley Gleaner Society. We spend our days making bags of dried soup mix, which are then shipped to several ministry partners around the world.

Participation with Other Churches
Our Primetimers also support several of our district Nazarene events and activities including the annual Vancouver regional Primetime Lunch and the Senior Adult retreat.
