Senior Adult Ministries
Our senior adults stay active and engaged in their faith and in the life of our church. In addition to our weekly Bible study, we plan monthly outings and enjoy building relationships with each other. Senior Adults are also involved in many ministries, including visits to hospitals, nursing homes, and shut-ins.
Wednesday Bible Study
You are invited to join us at 1:00pm every Wednesday in the Café for our weekly Bible study. During our Bible study, we Dig into the passage of Scripture, we Discuss it, we see how it Applies to each of our lives, and then we GO LIVE IT! The goal for each of our senior adults is to continue to live our FULL POTENTIAL and to finish our race strong in the Lord.
Monthly Social Events
We love to keep our Senior Adults active and in community with one another. We try to schedule monthly excursions around the area. Some of our upcoming excursions in 2024 are a trip to the Pendleton Woolen Mills in Camas, bowling at Big Al’s, a visit to the Capital Building in Olympia, a visit to the Columbia Interpretive Center in Skamania County, The Tacoma Car Museum, Tacoma Zoo, The Forestry Center, and a trip to the Tillamook Cheese Factory. These events are always open for anyone to participate. Many of them do require pre-registration and minimal admission fee.
Spring Mission Trip
We are a missional church. I believe that at any age we can still serve God. So, every spring we take a group of senior adults to Abbottsford, British Columbia to serve alongside the Fraser Valley Gleaner Society. We spend a couple of days making bags of dried soup mix, which are then shipped to several ministry partners around the world.
