We are excited to partner with you as your child journeys from birth through sixth-grade. We believe that you are your child's greatest influencer, and we consider it a privilege to team up with you. Our purpose is to partner with parents and families to help kids take their faith to the Next Level. We want to grow, serve, and share our faith together.

RidgeKids - Waiting is a part of life. Thankfully, we don’t have to wait on our own. Through the Holy Spirit, God can help us experience the patience we need to wait well. After all, God is patient with us. God is in control and knows what’s best for us. Even though God’s people had been waiting for years for the promised Savior, at just the right time, God sent Jesus. Because we’re created in God’s image, we can reflect God’s patience in our lives. We can be patient when we remember what God has done. We can lean on God’s Holy Spirit to give us the strength we need to trust God and show patience with the difficult circumstances in our lives.

RidgeKids Jr.- Have you ever been somewhere where it was so dark you couldn’t even see your hand in front of your face? No light shining under the door. No stars in the sky. No screen glaring back at you. Just darkness. So much darkness that you have to shuffle slowly, stumbling your way across the room with arms stretched out, hoping, searching . . . and then finally, with the flip of a switch, LIGHT! Light changes everything.
This month, we’re talking about light, but not just any light. We’re talking about Jesus—the light of the WORLD—and how when we do what Jesus says, we shine. We shine the light of Jesus! After this month, we hope every time you and your preschoolers see a lamp or a star-filled sky, you remember that people were made to shine, and we have Jesus—the light of the world—to show us how. So let’s not hide our light. Let’s SHINE and light up the dark so others can see their way to Jesus.

Kids Church
Every Sunday during 9:00 and 10:30 services we work to create a great experience for your kids to begin their journey with Jesus. We want them to love coming to church so much that they look forward to it all week!
RidgeKids Nursery is designed for parents to have an optional space to go with their newborns during services. You can find the nursery on the main level, just behind the Café.
RidgeKids JR meets in the early childhood wing on the lower level and is designed to meet the developmental needs of kids eighteen months through Kindergarten.
RidgeKids Church meets in the lower level gym for first through sixth-graders.
We take security very seriously so that you can rest easy, knowing that your kids are in good hands. Your children will be supervised and taught by background-checked volunteers who have been trained to follow approved policies and procedures. Our check-in system ensures that your children are released only to you (or to the people you designate).

Kids Church - We are having in-person services and we have three options for you and your kids. Everyone in your family can experience RidgeKids in-person on Sundays at 9:00 or 10:30 AM or at our Spanish service Saturday night at 7:00 PM.
RidgeKids Next Level Small Groups. Are your kids ready to go to the Next Level with Jesus? This fall, winter, and spring we are offering RidgeKids Next Level Small Group for kids 4th-6th grade. This group will help kids develop an authentic faith and make deeper connections as they learn to GROW - SERVE - SHARE their faith. We will meet at church one night a week from 5:30- 7:00 PM. Family Events. We sponsor many family events throughout the year. Watch for our Next Level events, sports ministry, Easter services, Camps/Vacation Bible School in June, and Fall Activities in October!

The Summer Intern will support ministry to kids and students, as well as assist the Children’s pastor.
This internship is suited for anyone between the age of 18-25, who is pursuing Jesus passionately while exploring the idea of a career in ministry and leadership.
Our vision for this role is to empower and encourage the intern to live their full potential in Christ. We will reinforce our values of loving people recklessly, serving others contagiously, and pursuing God passionately. Interns will have the opportunity to grow as Godly leaders and further become who God created them to be.
Our internship is a paid position
Hours: 20 to 30 hours per week

At RidgeKids we believe your child is on a pathway to authentic faith. Our RidgeKids Sunday morning experience is designed to help your kids build their faith foundation. Our midweek "Next Level" class series is designed to help kids go further in their relationship with Jesus.
Are your kids ready to take their faith to the next level? This is our third small group designed specifically for them to develop an authentic faith and make deeper connections. This series is called "SHARE."
During SHARE, 4th-6th graders will meet on Wednesdays, for four weeks, starting on April 17th, from 6:00-7:30 PM, in the gym. RidgeKids will engage in learning God's purpose in sharing their faith, following Jesus, and considering God's plan for their lives. They will participate in weekly workshops and then will have home application assignments to do throughout the week. The Next Level small group builds week to week and so we want your child to be excited, engaged, and committed if they choose to participate. The dates of SHARE are Wednesdays April 17th, April 24th, May 1st, and May 8th.

Ridgefield Church of the Nazarene VBS day camp will be Monday-Thursday, June 24-27 from 9:00 am- Noon. VBS is for students entering 1st- 6th grades for the 2024-25 school year. The cost of camp is $15 per student to be paid at registration.
Each kid will select a Creative Focus or Sports Focus for the week.
Kids at VBS will learn to "Celebrate the Good News" And allow Jesus to fill them with joy as they follow Him! Each individual child in your family will need to be registered separately. Register HERE now!

RidgeKids Camp Adventure awaits!
Join us from July 8th to 12th, 2024, for an unforgettable week at WAPAC District Kids Camp in Port Orchard, WA. Led by our dedicated RidgeKids Team, your 4th-6th graders will enjoy games, worship, and deep dives into God’s Word. With scholarships available, the early bird cost of the camp is reduced from $390 to $190 for the week if you call Ridgefield Church of The Nazarene your home church. Many of our 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students have taken their faith to THE NEXT LEVEL this year! They have been taking extra classes, actively serving, and learning how to share about Jesus! God has great things in store for them and so we want to help prepare them by offering a chance to attend our RidgeKids Leadership Retreat! We hope to encourage, train, and equip them with leadership tools to help them on their journey with Jesus!
This retreat is for students who have completed at least one "Next Level" class during the 2023-2024 school year, demonstrated that they are serious about taking their faith to the next level, and are willing to fill out a Retreat Preparation Guide before we depart on Friday, May 17th. We will mail the guide and other details to the registered kids a couple of weeks before the retreat. Our weekend will be a lot of fun, but we want our students to take this opportunity seriously. We will have leadership skill-building activities, discussion groups, quiet time with God, and opportunities to serve others. We think your students will love this retreat and will leave empowered to lead others in new ways!
The Leadership Retreat will be held May 17th-19th at Heritage Park Event Center outside of Woodland, WA. We will leave from the church on Friday, May 17th, at 4:30 PM. Parents can pick up their students in the gym following the second service on Sunday, May 19th, at 11:45 AM. Parents must register their students in advance at the link below. The registration fee is only $40 and SPACE IS LIMITED SO SIGN UP HERE!

Camp Create Focus- We have creative and artistic VBS Camp activities in store for you! You will get to explore how amazing God is while creating art, moving to music, and cooking with your group.
Camp Compete Sports Focus- This active VBS Camp focus will be fun while learning some athletic skills and playing games. Join us in discovering confidence in Jesus while kicking a soccer ball, shooting a basketball, or running in a relay race!

We believe that your kids will have the best possible adventure with Jesus when we (the Church) partner with you (their parents). We will help build their faith foundation in a fun environment every weekend, and then we will send them home with you to continue the discussion. That might sound a bit scary, but we are here to help! Every week we provide a “Parent Cue” to guide you to Read a Bible story with your kids, Discuss God’s truth and Pray with your kids.
